Travel and talk

My in laws have left yesterday the 13^th Jun 08 left for their native place Rajkot in Gujarat after staying for along summer vacation with us at Chennai. My wife is so fond of her parents – and who is not – she is so morose and forlorn. Suddenly lost her interest in cooking foods. Today she wanted to talk to them. And promptly we dialed the phone and got my father in law cell phone and after having a brief chat with their parents and knowing that their train is going through Maharashtra then only my wife started cooking activities. Imagine the same situation to years back. After reaching the destination STD was the only choice. Go back further 10 years – Only a postal was possible. The advent of cell phone has really changed our ways of life and the communication is a matter of few beeps and rings.
